Brett & Krista Miller
Brett and Krista were both involved with Cru on their college campuses - James Madison University and Virginia Tech, respectively.  They were each gripped by God's love and heart for the world, and upon graduating, served with Cru in Venezuela, which is where they met.  They have been on staff for 17 years, spending almost 6 of those years in Venezuela.  Brett and Krista returned to the States in 2008, and Brett is now one of the directors of Cru at George Mason University.  They have four kids - Karina Love, Keira Joy, Braden Emory, and Kyla Hope - who are a wonderful blessing to them.  Brett enjoys playing basketball, hanging out with friends, chips and salsa, and attempting to be a triathlete.  Krista enjoys dancing, running, getting coffee with friends, and being outside.  Brett and Krista are passionate about helping college students understand and be gripped by the good news of Jesus Christ.

Greg & Elise Boros
Greg was rescued by Jesus during his freshman year at Penn State University, at about the same time that he met and fell in love with Elise.  Both Greg and Elise spent their college years involved in Cru and Navigators, and felt called to join Cru staff right after graduating and getting married.  They’ve spent over ten years on staff now, both at Penn State and George Mason.  In 2010, on Thanksgiving Day, Greg received a heart transplant, making the urgency of the gospel and the sweetness of eternal life so much dearer to them.  In 2014, God blessed the Boros’ with the most amazing kid ever, their precious son Paul. Greg loves Elise, Paul, air conditioning, ice water, astronomy, and double-bacon-cheeseburgers.  Elise enjoys hanging out with friends, quality family time, being outside, the ocean, and super dark coffee.  She also can’t imagine living a day without chocolate.

Bridget Borton
Bridget graduated in 2018 and was involved with Cru throughout her four years at Mason. After graduating she joined Cru as a missionary overseas. After serving overseas for a year she is back to join the Mason team. She loves quality time with friends,  going for a bike ride, and good food.

Emma Beitzel
Emma got involved with Cru as a freshman at Mason in 2016. She loved being a student leader so much that she decided to finish her last semester in school as part time staff with Cru! She feels called to continue serving with Cru after graduation. In May, she’s thrilled to be marrying her best friend, Ian. Emma has a passion for global missions and can’t get enough of travel. She loves warm weather, drinking tea, writing, and being close to any body of water.

Grace Dennis

Grace (the girl one) transferred to Mason her junior year seeking Christian community and found that in Cru. She felt called to campus ministry after being poured into by many people in the field throughout high school and college, and growing in her faith through her involvement with Cru. After graduating and marrying her husband, Ryan, Grace joined the Mason team. Some of her favorite things are Jesus, spending time with old and new friends, helping people grow in their faith, running, and popcorn.

Kathie Virunurm
During her freshman year at Virginia Tech, Kathie got involved in Cru and grew in her faith as she saw other students living with Christ at the center of their lives.  After graduating, she went to Estonia for a one-year internship with Cru.  One year was not long enough and Kathie served in Estonia with Cru for six and a half years.  Since returning to the U.S., Kathie has been at Mason as one of the Team Leaders.  She enjoys good coffee, real conversations about life and faith, travel, and finding quaint cafes when traveling.

Kevin Wright
Kevin (on right) began his journey with Mason Cru community in spring of 2010, when a friend of his who was a current student invited him out to a weekly meeting.   With four weeks left in the semester, Kevin continued to come out to meetings, build relationships with students and staff, which has led to his current involvement with the staff team.  Kevin greatly enjoys JESUS, and seeing students lives changed by HIM.  In addition to this he also enjoys deep conversations on faith, life, and more.  Kevin is also an avid reader, music listener and concert goer, and greatly enjoys the preforming arts.  There’s more to him than that, but you will have to meet him to find out!

Michael and Maggie Crum
Maggie and Michael are new staff and are excited for their first ministry assignment together as a married couple at George Mason.  Michael, a Mason alumni, has been serving with Cru at GMU since graduating in 2014.  Michael was involved in Mason Cru in college, where God captured his heart for discipleship and sharing the good news of Jesus to a lost generation and has been serving with Cru ever since.  Maggie graduated from Slippery Rock University in 2019, where she accepted Christ as a freshman and ultimately felt the Lord leading her into serving with Cru as a full-time missionary. Maggie served with Cru in Northwestern PA for 3 years before her and Michael got married and moved to Fairfax to be at Mason. The two of them are enjoying being newly married but also love board games, eating and cooking good food, watching movies, and spending time with friends and family.  However, nothing brings them more joy than sharing the life and hope that Jesus brings to people who don't know Him.

During her college years the Gospel became real to her in a way that it never had before and God cultivated in her a heart for international missions. After graduating in 2018, Malin spent a year serving with Cru overseas. Now she's back at Mason and excited to share her heart for the world with the students at Mason! Malin loves animals, watching reality T.V., learning about new cultures and eating good food! She is excited to be getting married in March 2020 to her fiance, Peter.
